Every stage of a student's musical journey focuses on a specific raga, encompassing various components such as compositions, paltas, alankaars, taans, vistaars, and more. Advancement to the next raga is based on the student's mastery and confident execution of the material covered.
Each class is generally divided into two segments: the first emphasizes technical exercises and foundational skills, while the second applies those techniques through exploration and improvisation within the raga being studied.
Students are encouraged to grow as performers through recital opportunities, including student showcases and cultural events such as Guru Purnima. Advanced students who demonstrate a high level of proficiency may also be invited to perform in professional concert settings, offering them valuable stage experience and exposure.
